Initial Home Visit

Contact us by phone or e-mail and tell us what you have in mind. We will set up an appointment with you at your home to discuss the project in detail. With our 30 years of experience, we will help transform your dreams and visions into reality. Tell us about any special material requests (i.e. granite, Corian, specific type of wood, etc.) that you would like included in the design. You should have a rough idea of what you expect to spend on the project. The majority of Jendell’s projects range in price from $50,000 to $300,000. We can provide you with a list of customers for whom we have performed similar work.

The Preliminary Phase

Following the home visit, we prepare a preliminary proposal, design study and estimate to make sure that the pricing structure is in line with your budget. If you decide you wish to move forward, then we will schedule a meeting with either our designer or architect to start the design phase of your project.

The Design Phase

After the preliminary phase, we will provide you with a more detailed plan and specific costs of the project. The plan includes floor plans, elevations, plumbing layout, window and door locations and cabinetry. In addition, it will include a line item description of exactly what your job will include and an initial cost estimate. This is the most cost-effective time to make design changes, so spend a couple of days going over the plans. Feel free to call us with any questions or modifications that you would like to make. Once you feel comfortable with the design, a final estimate and contract are drafted for your signature. Upon receiving the signed contract and down payment, the job is ready to be scheduled!

The Schedule

You are assigned a project start date, an on-site supervisor and crew. Prior to your start date, we will meet at our office showroom where you will select carpet, paint, cabinets, counter tops, etc. We are responsible for preparing applications for and obtaining building permits and other required approvals to build your job in accordance with local and state building requirements and codes. You can rest assured that all personnel entering your home are Jendell employees or dedicated sub-contractors. This has tremendous advantages for you. We have full control of job scheduling, which greatly reduces the chance of your job being delayed. Additionally, you must be able to trust the people working in your home. Our firm has a stellar reputation and we go to great lengths to maintain it. Check out the Testimonials page for more details.

Communication

We realize that you may be anxious during the construction phase. Therefore, we go to great lengths to keep you up to date on the job’s status. You may call or email us at any time with questions or concerns and you will hear back from us promptly. The on-site supervisor is at your home every day, ensuring a smooth transition between each phase of the project.

Completion

As the job nears completion, we will meet with you to compile a punch out list. The list will contain items such as paint touch ups, nail pops, caulk, etc. Once again, we will ensure your satisfaction by paying attention to detail and completing all items on the list. Once completed, you are ready to sit back and enjoy your dream home.
