In 1982, fresh out of Penn State University, we officially launched our business by purchasing $500 worth of equipment and supplies at Hechingers. The company fleet consisted of an old Fiat with a ski rack for transporting our ladders. We named our Montgomery County-based company Jendell, after our Russian immigrant grandmother Jenny Deliniski (who was renamed Jenny Dell upon entry to the U.S.). Our grandmother instilled in us the value of hard work and a job well done. Originally specializing in painting and light carpentry work, we soon expanded our areas of expertise to include the designing and building of additions, kitchens, basements, bathrooms and custom homes.
